ok what else apart from the US elections and NSSF?? oh man just a lot, the war in congo, I was following it all through upto the end, and I still feel bad for having not come here to post something about it, ok let me make some brief points that I cant do with out mentioning, first and foremost, I was soo angry with Rwanda, they were supporting a terrorist, I don't care what reasons they give, (the interahamwe and all) point is, two wrongs don't make a right, u dont put out fire with fire, there's always better ways to quench the fire ( and the word here is quench!) they could have done it in a better way than suporting a terrorist, I was so so happy the other day when I heard that Nkunda had been arrested, it gave me alot of joy.
Alright fast forward, from the Congo to Russia, oh man, well I don't condone what Mikheil Saakashvili (had to google that name, quite a hard one :) ) did when he tried to invade South Ossetia thinking that the world wouldn't be watching, but again, the retaliation by the Russians was so excessive, brutal and uncalled for, and from the little I know about Russians, im so sure the people of Georgia were being subject to unbearable tremor for all the times the Russians were in their country.
Alright...., and then to the Olympics, wow hats off to Michael Phelps, boy I was so so impressed by the guy, sooooo great, 8GOLD MEDALS!!! ok I've tried some athletics before, but please never come to my home and try to check on the walls to find if I got some medals hanging up there, none, nada!, never got nothing, its not easy at all, oh and boy how about USAIN BOLT?!! gosh, he can BOLT!! I dunno if his parents gave him that name as a prophecy or something, well in Uganda bolt is a slang for split, and if u saw Usain Bolt, he actually splits close to the speed of lightening!! goodness me, that brotha is just a rare phenomenon, I don't think any one will ever break his records, prolly he himself will, esp in the 100m sprint race, cause he could even have recorded faster seconds if hed given it his whole, I remember when they were asking us to choose for the sports personality of the year 2008 on BBC radio and they had both Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt up, well my vote went for Usain Bolt, cause if there ever was a chance of winning as many as 8gold medals all on world record in sprints as there is in swimming, then Usain Bolt could of gone all the way, that im sure of.well um, guys, for some of U, im really sorry , I didn't see nothing worthy mentioning about you when it came to the Olympics, so to say ur country did nothing out of the ordinary, um,was like just basic U get it?? As for Uganda....[-( mnnnh, to tell you the truth, I think we got what we rightly deserved, I continually told fellow country men, that not until this nation recognizes sports as a potential source of income and career as well for some people, and it (government) starts to invest in it, then we should always never expect to reap from where we don't sow, scripture has it right "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." it'd be rediculous for me as a Ugandan to think that this country should hope to get anything out of the olympics when they practically invested nothing apart from buying the air tickets for the atheletes, and giving them flags to wave at the opening ceremony, X(X( that just even breaks my heart when I think about it, we need real leaders in this country, not selfish self seekers!! [yes I said it!!] but REAL LEADERS!!
Alright, what next after the Olympics??um, let me see.....actually nothing so big there went on apart from the US elections into which I wont go so deep cause I know we all had our candidates of choice and we were so passionate about them, yes even the ones that don't live in the US some how got caught up in that thing.
Then we move on to the Israel Gaza war, who did U blame?? did U blame the Israelites for defending them selves or the hamas for terrorizing a nation more powerful than them and they still stayed stubborn even when they were over powered?.
Any way that just tells you what my take on the entire war was, first and foremost I felt so sorry for the Palestinian civilians that lost their lives, it was really so sad, but look, these people used to be warned before Israel could drop bombs on those hamas invested areas and yet they used to stay in the places so that they can be pitied by the biased media as victims of the Israel indiscriminate bombings (baloney!), and yet, the media used to hardly report on the constant rockets that the hamas used to launch into the southern part of Israel killing and keeping innocent Israelites over there in constant fear and terror. And so there was this funny scenario, so Israel calls for a cease fire and guess what?? you expect the hamas to be happy and bow out in peace right?? but what do they do? they launch 3rocket misiles into Israel that very day!! and the media doesn't even get hard on them (hamas) at all, and im like, what are these guys thinking?? I discussed this with a friend of mine that has always been so anti Israel (poor Anthony), and he was even lost for words, I mean, he couldn't find a way to defend these terrorists however much he could try.
Alright, I guess that is enough catching up don't you think?? well I think it is, if you feel I missed out on any thing, please email me or put it in the comments and I will surely get back to U
