The Vision still stands

In the past two days, I have been working hard to finish a post that I wanted to share with you people that are subscribed to my blog, and are always expectant of getting a writing from yours truly, well I was just about done with that post, and then something hit me. I was walking along the streets today, and having been chilly all afternoon tho, I saw a lot of things and I felt my heart real hurting, I couldn't believe this was part of the fabrics of the capital of this nation, I saw so many things, that I have seen many times in the past but had always ignored, what hurts me most is the disparity between the poor and the rich in this country, and as a matter of fact its not new to many countries on this continent, we see the rich living a very extravagant life, and the gap between them and the poor is really too wide that at some point I wonder if it will ever be filled up, I walked into one of the poorest part of the city (well that's how it looked like to me) and I couldn't help but notice, the way the people that live in these miserable conditions have actually come to terms with the situation that they are in right now, matter of fact when u ask so many of them if they have hope for a better life, or a change of their way of living, they all have almost the same answer "we know things here will change, but not while we are still alive".. now that's wut makes me so angry, its not only those people, a lot many of the people I've come across and asked about the way they think we can make our city and country a better place, they give me the same annoying answer, that things will probably change, but not in our time, now I call that baloney, if U always expect some one else to carry your cross for U, then u surely have no reason to continue living, not untill we the people , wake up and realize that we are where we are cuz of our way of thinking and partly because the people that lived before us, had the same mentality as we have right now, that we were to change the mess they left behind, and we are living in the same conditions now that they left behind, because we havent decided to change our way of thinking!
I was talking to one of the old timers today, and i told him that they, are the people we have to blame for the mess that our country is in right now, when they had the baton in their hands, they never cared about us that were to take over from them, and he gave me a pretty reasonable answer he said: " when we were your age, we were into fighting wars for the liberation of this nation"
true, they were fighting, but I had to respond with an inspired response, I told him, but sir, U never learnt from the wars u fought, cuz instead of working to change, u just kept on congratulating ur selves over the victory and never looked on to tomorrow.
This is what I keep on saying, and I'll not stop saying: we are living in a country where our founding fathers never left a legacy for us to cherish, and right now its incumbent upon us the current generation, to build a legacy that the people that are coming after us will be proud of, and cherish, im not going to rest until I see this coming to pass, cuz I believe this is the purpose that my life has been called for.
I pray that i might get your support so that we can get together to change this nation.
thank you.

Be courageous to face any sort of problem as early as possible. It is like a small flame. If you try, you can stop it easily. If you don’t, it will be bigger day by day and burn everything.
