My Purpose vs. God's Purpose, Post #1

Hello, Everyone!

Well, my good friend and brother in Jesus, Rodger, has invited me to contribute to this blog. And happily, I obliged.
Today, I will be posting my first blog entry. And it comes from something I wrote a while back on my MySpace blog. I hope and pray that it encourages you, lifts you up, and gives you revelation for this new day. I am not confident in my writings. However, I am fully confident that the Spirit of God, Who raised Yeshua (Jesus) from the dead, is the very same Spirit, Who is capable of taking a very gut-level, honest, and simple message and making it something that could impact many and inspire others to run after God's heart.
Please also know that, as a preface to all of my other entries, my motivation is purely out of an open, concerned heart ;D, and that I aspire to write and care out of compassion, and not out of a spirit of pride. Please forgive me if you are ever offended by what I post. I just want to make my Yeshua proud! I must be crazy in love with Him, or else!
Please enjoy, and feel absolutely free to comment! Thank you. And thank you, Rod, for this opportunity. :D

Shoshannah's Post:

What am I worth? What am I to be in the grand scheme of things? Am I worth more than, say, a bridge from one dispensation to the next? What!? That is natural thinking. That is to see this…motion of purpose, well, just naturally. It really is more supernatural than that.

Are those questions valid? Are they even the right questions to ask? Probably not. Given that God has foreordained all His children to be salt, a light, a city on a hill, ambassadors of Heaven, and coheirs of Yeshua, I am persuaded that He would never see my job or purpose as second class or less than desirable. He wouldn't see sin in degrees either. Or does He? There are levels of Hell for degrees of sins. But they are all sin. So, I suppose in that light, He would see my job, Joe Shmoe's job, Plain Jane's job, and the saved, believing, Spirit-filled celebrity's job as all important. Vitally important

So to say that becoming a bridge by the hand of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, foreordained for His sovereign and important purposes upon this earth, is second class or less than desirable, is saying that He didn't know what He was doing. If I am to be a bridge, then I just may end up being one of the most important bridges in worldly history. Maybe not. Come to think of it, Yeshua was a bridge… and if it weren't for Him, then we would have NO intimate fellowship and relationship with God the Father- Abba.

A bridge can be important. Vitally important. So costly that it may mean the difference of life and death for some, or many. Or not so intense. Whatever God wants.

I guess this brings me back to my question of purposes. So? I have too quickly forgotten, within my worldly cares at this present moment, that I know that my ultimate purpose, both upon this earth and in all my existence in everlasting life, is to worship God. Therefore, if I am to be a bridge from the last dispensation to my children, who could be (I am convinced who probably are) part of the last dispensation, then I better be the best worshipping and praising bridge I can be, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If that is the case, then why am I thinking that my generation wouldn't or couldn't be within the last dispensation? Am I feeling given up on? Am I feeling replaced in the scheme of eternity by my own children and their callings? I don't know. Maybe. I hope not. But if I am, then I can have confidence that if God made me, created me with the things He put in me, then He will continue to love me and use me for His glory.

Let's get this straight: not my will be done, but Your will be done, oh, Adonai! Not for my pleasure, Adonai, but for Your pleasure. Not for my glory, Adonai, but for Your glory alone! For You share Your glory with no man- no one!I love you, Yah-Adonai!! Just use me. Use me. Use me! And let my life, my love, and my deeds be a sweet smelling aroma to Your nose! For Your name. For Your Word. For You.

SO LONG!!!

wow, guys I dont know, I feel so guilty for taking this long, gosh, its almost 6months since I last posted something on here!!! oh man, how lazy I can be some times......., I always wanted to get back here to post some more articles, but I could always procrastinate, it hadd to take some butt spanking for me to get up and get on, otherwise, welcome back every one, wow I have missed u guys sooo soo much, during the break, just so much happened, I know I suspended posts to the site when I went back to school, I felt it wiser not to juggle school with the blog, but one terrible mistake I make, I never inspired some one to take over from me for the time I was away, there's some really great guys that I'll have to introduce on here later on, and actually they have been so ready to always post something on the site as long as I can give them the opportunity, but I was always stalling, ok. alright, like you all know, I come from Uganda and in the central part of the country, where they have a saying that "when you travel you see, and when you return you tell stories" so I really gotta tell some of what I saw while I was away :) um lets see, well, there was the US elections, (big thing ya know) then we had the NSSF saga down here (social security funds) gosh, I badly wanted to come back on here and write some thing about those goons that swindled the social security funds, I really was so much dying to share something about it with some one, and so there was no better family I could think of than my "blog pals family:)" that's a new phrase right there [blog pals family] some body post that on urbandictionary :) lol well yea, and man I always felt bad for being unable to come post something on here about that saga since for most part of it, we were busy with exams and tests, never the less guys, its not too late, I'll tell u what was on my mind all through out the whole drama. I feel all those thieves that are in government that conned devoted Ugandan workers of their hard earned money, should be thrown in prison, stripped of all their riches, and people shouldn't just debate whether the guys should lose their political seats or not, gosh they are thieves, they should be tried in courts of LAW!! not parliament (congress) they stole from the worker's period!! and they were supposed to be arrested and taken to prison pending further investigations, and now this is the most annoying part, nothing was done to these broad day light thieves, NOTHING!! oh sweet justice, the punks bribed as many politicians as they could rally, and in the end they were never censured, oh and the president (geat president of Uganda) he just sat and looked, he neither said or did something about the whole thing, after all these are his tribes men [yes I said it!!] he just kept enjoying the whole thing all through, and now???.....no one even remembers about the whole story, but atleast not me, I still have those guys on my mind, and I'll never forget them, and I daily pray to God that their heavenly punishment is always upheld unless when they repent and apologize to the people of Uganda!
ok what else apart from the US elections and NSSF?? oh man just a lot, the war in congo, I was following it all through upto the end, and I still feel bad for having not come here to post something about it, ok let me make some brief points that I cant do with out mentioning, first and foremost, I was soo angry with Rwanda, they were supporting a terrorist, I don't care what reasons they give, (the interahamwe and all) point is, two wrongs don't make a right, u dont put out fire with fire, there's always better ways to quench the fire ( and the word here is quench!) they could have done it in a better way than suporting a terrorist, I was so so happy the other day when I heard that Nkunda had been arrested, it gave me alot of joy.
Alright fast forward, from the Congo to Russia, oh man, well I don't condone what Mikheil Saakashvili (had to google that name, quite a hard one :) ) did when he tried to invade South Ossetia thinking that the world wouldn't be watching, but again, the retaliation by the Russians was so excessive, brutal and uncalled for, and from the little I know about Russians, im so sure the people of Georgia were being subject to unbearable tremor for all the times the Russians were in their country.
Alright...., and then to the Olympics, wow hats off to Michael Phelps, boy I was so so impressed by the guy, sooooo great, 8GOLD MEDALS!!! ok I've tried some athletics before, but please never come to my home and try to check on the walls to find if I got some medals hanging up there, none, nada!, never got nothing, its not easy at all, oh and boy how about USAIN BOLT?!! gosh, he can BOLT!! I dunno if his parents gave him that name as a prophecy or something, well in Uganda bolt is a slang for split, and if u saw Usain Bolt, he actually splits close to the speed of lightening!! goodness me, that brotha is just a rare phenomenon, I don't think any one will ever break his records, prolly he himself will, esp in the 100m sprint race, cause he could even have recorded faster seconds if hed given it his whole, I remember when they were asking us to choose for the sports personality of the year 2008 on BBC radio and they had both Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt up, well my vote went for Usain Bolt, cause if there ever was a chance of winning as many as 8gold medals all on world record in sprints as there is in swimming, then Usain Bolt could of gone all the way, that im sure of.well um, guys, for some of U, im really sorry , I didn't see nothing worthy mentioning about you when it came to the Olympics, so to say ur country did nothing out of the ordinary, um,was like just basic U get it?? As for Uganda....[-( mnnnh, to tell you the truth, I think we got what we rightly deserved, I continually told fellow country men, that not until this nation recognizes sports as a potential source of income and career as well for some people, and it (government) starts to invest in it, then we should always never expect to reap from where we don't sow, scripture has it right "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." it'd be rediculous for me as a Ugandan to think that this country should hope to get anything out of the olympics when they practically invested nothing apart from buying the air tickets for the atheletes, and giving them flags to wave at the opening ceremony, X(X( that just even breaks my heart when I think about it, we need real leaders in this country, not selfish self seekers!! [yes I said it!!] but REAL LEADERS!!

Alright, what next after the Olympics??um, let me see.....actually nothing so big there went on apart from the US elections into which I wont go so deep cause I know we all had our candidates of choice and we were so passionate about them, yes even the ones that don't live in the US some how got caught up in that thing.
Then we move on to the Israel Gaza war, who did U blame?? did U blame the Israelites for defending them selves or the hamas for terrorizing a nation more powerful than them and they still stayed stubborn even when they were over powered?.
Any way that just tells you what my take on the entire war was, first and foremost I felt so sorry for the Palestinian civilians that lost their lives, it was really so sad, but look, these people used to be warned before Israel could drop bombs on those hamas invested areas and yet they used to stay in the places so that they can be pitied by the biased media as victims of the Israel indiscriminate bombings (baloney!), and yet, the media used to hardly report on the constant rockets that the hamas used to launch into the southern part of Israel killing and keeping innocent Israelites over there in constant fear and terror. And so there was this funny scenario, so Israel calls for a cease fire and guess what?? you expect the hamas to be happy and bow out in peace right?? but what do they do? they launch 3rocket misiles into Israel that very day!! and the media doesn't even get hard on them (hamas) at all, and im like, what are these guys thinking?? I discussed this with a friend of mine that has always been so anti Israel (poor Anthony), and he was even lost for words, I mean, he couldn't find a way to defend these terrorists however much he could try.
Alright, I guess that is enough catching up don't you think?? well I think it is, if you feel I missed out on any thing, please email me or put it in the comments and I will surely get back to U

A Firm Foundation [part2]

previously on this Blog, I shared about the importance of fathers in our society and the roles a father can play in the early stages of a child, I didn't know that I'd have to revisit the topic again, but after posting it, I felt like I'd some how limited my self to a few words, and so I've come back to the same post to see that I can at least talk some more about the fatherhood deficiency we are facing in our generation.

see, all this never started like this, it took just a few individuals that presented them selves as ready and free vessels to be used by the devil, and use them he did, our media started to get so sexualized, the right started to be deemed wrong, and the wrong started getting praized, so today we are having a battle, sex today is no longer respected like the purpose for its creation was, and for this reason, many fatherless kids are sprouting,or we see kids born to kids, a people with no knowledge of parenthood and responsibility concern.
All this has been done by the devil, so he can break down the foundations of the family, a one organization that is so important in the fabrics of our society today.

see previously I shared with U about my relationship with my own father, and I feel I shared just a little about it, so much went on between me and my dad, and today when I look back, I can see that the many things I've gone through, were as a result of a dad that was never present in my life, both physically and emotionally. my dad never sat down with me on any single day, to help me either make an academic
or even a moral decision that would greatly affect my life, I figured out how to push on with life all by myself, and on so many occasions I made mistakes due to ignorance, and just like I might also continue to make many more cuz I don't think the learning on my side, has stopped yet, im still learning and discovering, but Just imagine if I'd had a foundation and guidance from my dad?? wouldn't I be a better man today??
I just want to urge all of us here, the ladies and gentle men that enjoy reading this blog, how about we decide to inspire some of the men that we have influence over(either direct or indirect influence) to make better fathers?? we wouldn't be struggling with things like sexism if real men stood up to be real fathers, a great generation that respects women in their capacity as women will be created, and a great legacy will be birthed, such that even when we leave, we shall leave behind us a safer world!

I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says
the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:18

God identifies Himself as "Father" not because He is trying to act like
a human father. Human fathers are imperfect. God identifies Himself as
"Father" because He is perfect, holy, and does for people what a
perfect, holy, Father does.

A firm Foundation

"
Of all the rocks upon which we build our lives, we are reminded today that family is the most important" - B.O

im quoting these words from the only politician that has ever inspired me. - I never get inspirations from politicians!
alright fast forward, I was talking to a friend earlier in the day, and I felt compelled to confront something about our society today, im writing this, partly based on experience, and also based on observation as well. Im a firm and strong believer in family and family values.but I believe families today no longer hold on to the true values that were cherished back then when we were still young, or before some of us were born. And this comes due to many reasons, but mainly due to the lack of fathers in our generation today, a friend of mine one time stood up to speak, and they said, "we are a fatherless generation," and I think I believed her, but I wouldn't encourage her to go on with these claims, cuz truly, they dont inspire us to reach down with in us, and dig into the potential we as men, have got on the inside.
I've purposed in life, not to make a dad like my dad was, and of course this statement in its self just speaks a lot. only thing i knew of my dad, was paying for my school fees, buying food at home, and may be cloths while I was still young, and quite often barking and punishing me, that's the image of a father I got, u gon say, pretty sad, yes it really was sad, and every time I look back to those days, and all that I went through at the hands of my dad, I just wish I'd seen some love in him, to be honest with U, I've never seen my dad do any thing for me or to me, to show me that he loves me!! even while he is still alive, I don't see nothing of a kind come from him.

any way, that's a long story... But this is what I've purposed to do, I've made up my mind to pursue the finest of family values I can ever imagine, and to learn from amongst the best men around on how I can make me a better dad when I get the opportunity to become one, and strive so hard to be my kids' best friend and hero.
A lack of true fathers, is one of the reasons as to why Africa is still the way it is. see when we lack men to speak into us and instill in us good family and moral values while we are still young, we are going to grow up as a un-mentored and untutored generation, and if we don't work upon changing this, even the kids that we'll bear will be like us, and generations will go on in this cycle, and we shall find ourselves in the same place even a hundred years away from now!
but if we stand up today, and borrow a leaf from some of the men that have proved them selves to be real fathers with time, and we work hard to at least be like them or even better, this country, and this world, will be miles a head, and better than wut it looks like today!
its my prayer and hope, that we can embrace the challenge.

Deuteronomy 11:18-19: "Therefore shall ye lay up these words in your heart and in your soul . . . And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

Satan is destroying our children. Young people are going to hell because they do not have Christian parents. Fathers are designated by God as Priests in their homes. They are responsible for bringing their families to God. -[Rod Parsley]

Thank you

Love

ok, I know im the least qualified to talk about this topic even after having spent a whole week working on it, because how ever much I try,I know I can never be as loving as I'd may be want to be or probably how God would want me to be, but all the same, I try and strive so much to reach the mark.
Sunday morning (first Sunday of August) as I was sited in Church listening to my pastor, Chris preach, I was so touched by the sermon, it was a simple but powerful message, with Love as the theme, I dont remember pastor Chris ever making us turn our Bible pages to read scripture, but he was always citing some once in a while. what made the sermon even greater, is the true life stories that pastor Chris kept sharing about love. see I believe love is never just spoken, but lived, no one can convince me how much they love me when all they do is talk, talk and talk, the best love for me is the practical love, where im not only going to hear what u plan on doin, or what you saying in the name of love, but when im actually seeing you do something in the name of the love you profess, I believe that's the true love that the greatest man that ever lived on earth demonstrated himself -Jesus Christ-
in my walk with Christ I seen my life transformed not by the material things that I've gotten but by the love that has been shown to me, in the same way, I've tried as much as I can to give off of what I've gotten freely as a gift, and tried to bless others with it.
I believe that the biggest problems we face today in our world are due to lack of love, even amongst us Christians that continually profess and confess the Christ we serve to the multitudes, we have acted so much of listeners to the WORD, and less actors in the same respect.
I know very well that we dont have to be able to define love in terms of doctrines and all, in order to live a love life. I myself prolly dont really know wut true love is, I know I've loved some one that was actually committed, and I always told myself that I can now die, cuz I've seen the one person I could of spent the whole of my life with, and they were already committed, beating on my self I always did, cuz I knew I was holding false hope in me, and I ask myself today,as I used to back then, was this feeling of wishing for death that I had, really wut love is?? ur guess is as well as mine, and for my part, I even sometimes think I'll never get the answer to this.
we've heard of so many peeps that have ended their lives cuz the people they "love" have left them, and prolly moved on with some one else...
may be thats what love means to them,

but how about this....he died not just because he was so much loved, or had lost a lover, but only because he thought of the ones that were to come after him, and were to suffer if he didnt offer up his life for them, he was a king, but left the palace and all the honors there in, just so he can come show U and I how much more u mean than even the precious stones of silver and gold that he treads upon on the streets where he lives, ladies and gentle men, I am talking about Jesus Christ, he's the one man on earth that lived a pure and perfect love life ever on earth! and daily I try my best to emulate this kind of love, but im surely far from reaching the mark, never the less, I keep trying. Dont give up either, go out tonight, show some body some love, in any way U can think of, come back tell me how they responded, if they dont love it that u show them love, please give it all back to me, I know how to put the best use to it, cuz I dunno about U, but I surely love to be loved!

"....Col 3:14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity...."

The Vision still stands

In the past two days, I have been working hard to finish a post that I wanted to share with you people that are subscribed to my blog, and are always expectant of getting a writing from yours truly, well I was just about done with that post, and then something hit me. I was walking along the streets today, and having been chilly all afternoon tho, I saw a lot of things and I felt my heart real hurting, I couldn't believe this was part of the fabrics of the capital of this nation, I saw so many things, that I have seen many times in the past but had always ignored, what hurts me most is the disparity between the poor and the rich in this country, and as a matter of fact its not new to many countries on this continent, we see the rich living a very extravagant life, and the gap between them and the poor is really too wide that at some point I wonder if it will ever be filled up, I walked into one of the poorest part of the city (well that's how it looked like to me) and I couldn't help but notice, the way the people that live in these miserable conditions have actually come to terms with the situation that they are in right now, matter of fact when u ask so many of them if they have hope for a better life, or a change of their way of living, they all have almost the same answer "we know things here will change, but not while we are still alive".. now that's wut makes me so angry, its not only those people, a lot many of the people I've come across and asked about the way they think we can make our city and country a better place, they give me the same annoying answer, that things will probably change, but not in our time, now I call that baloney, if U always expect some one else to carry your cross for U, then u surely have no reason to continue living, not untill we the people , wake up and realize that we are where we are cuz of our way of thinking and partly because the people that lived before us, had the same mentality as we have right now, that we were to change the mess they left behind, and we are living in the same conditions now that they left behind, because we havent decided to change our way of thinking!
I was talking to one of the old timers today, and i told him that they, are the people we have to blame for the mess that our country is in right now, when they had the baton in their hands, they never cared about us that were to take over from them, and he gave me a pretty reasonable answer he said: " when we were your age, we were into fighting wars for the liberation of this nation"
true, they were fighting, but I had to respond with an inspired response, I told him, but sir, U never learnt from the wars u fought, cuz instead of working to change, u just kept on congratulating ur selves over the victory and never looked on to tomorrow.
This is what I keep on saying, and I'll not stop saying: we are living in a country where our founding fathers never left a legacy for us to cherish, and right now its incumbent upon us the current generation, to build a legacy that the people that are coming after us will be proud of, and cherish, im not going to rest until I see this coming to pass, cuz I believe this is the purpose that my life has been called for.
I pray that i might get your support so that we can get together to change this nation.
thank you.

Be courageous to face any sort of problem as early as possible. It is like a small flame. If you try, you can stop it easily. If you don’t, it will be bigger day by day and burn everything.

please Join me in prayer

He's a friend, a son and a brother, he is young too. Five year old Jordan was recently diagnosed and found to be with a condition that makes it hard for him to breath freely, he has to under go a surgery on his adenoids and tonsils, just two days from today (Saturday), I feel compelled to call upon all of you faithful friends, to join me in prayer as we stand together with him and his entire family, it may seem to be a simple minor surgery but I know there can never be nothing simple about surgery, the devil might want to attack and do something bad, but we have to stand up in prayer and resist any attacks from the enemy. Jordan is truly a uniquely gifted child, you might find it hard to believe, but at just the age of 5, Jordan is attending an infants Bible school, can read the Bible too, and pray, which was so astonishing a discovery for me, its kids like Jordan, that the devil works so hard to attack, they are proving a treasure to the kingdom, the devil never rests in trying to plot for them, just a few days back, Jordan was also found to be having a condition with his eyes too, and at the age of 5, he is going to have to start putting on glasses so that he can be aided in his sight, now that's the real devil at work, he wants to discourage Jordan from carrying out God's call upon his life, but I know this, none of u guys can allow this to happen.
well im not a parent yet, but I know its just a matter of time and I'll be one myself, and there r some really extra ordinary kids that I've come across in my life, not only Jordan, but I know of a one Kevin that can actually unscrew a computer and check it to find the problem as to why it has stopped to work :O yes, he did that! I talked to his mom and she was all praises for her Kevin, she told me how Kevin is the cutest mechanic she has ever met lol :) and I agree with that,I've talked to Kevin before, and I came to adore him. I ask of us to pray for Kevin,Jordan and other kids that might be the devil's target we want these kids to grow into strong men that will further the kingdom if any one of us cease to be. we want to speak good health upon them, enough with the diseases and all, its now time for God's hand to manifest upon their lives, they deserve a bright and healthy future.
.....like arrows in the hand of a warrior.....
Psalm 127:3-5.

As you struggle to be the best parent you can be, keep one goal in mind; that as your kids get older, they should always know that you love them. We all make mistakes as parents, but it's a lot easier for them to understand and appreciate your efforts (however clumsy) if they know your heart in the right place.
